I own an 85 F150 5.0EFI. Parked it 5 weeks ago, running great. Now it will not start. Will run if gas is poured into, or ether is sprayed into the two intake ports. What might the problem be ?

First thing, is there gas in the tank?? Second check your fuel pump. When u first turn your hey on u should hear a humming sound for a few seconds from the gas tank. If no hum is heard then i think i would change the fuel pump and see what happens. Good luck with it,

**edit** Before replaceing pump check the inertia switch.

 

I never knew that there was efi in a 85 truck, always thought 86 was the first year.
