Opinion on buy 2007 6.0
I am considering purchasing a 2007 F-350 6.0 diesel dually. 2007 F350 4x4 dually diesel, that is the ad for the truck. Is there anything I should look out for or avoid with these trucks and does the price seem fair?

Ask again in the 6.0 forum if you want a mature discussion, the idiots are out in force in the Super Duty forum.

Before you consider the purchase of a 6.0 PSD ( or any Power Stroke) I recommend going to that specific engine forum. Study what those owners have done. Ask questions. Get informed.
Do not base your purchase decision on the opinion of members who do not have the experience of owning a Power Stroke (like me). We can give you our opinion, but you need facts to make your decision.

I'm a 6.2 gas guy, and no longer have a need for a diesel. But if I could not afford a newer 6.7, it would be a 6.0, specifically a later 6.0, like your looking at. You need to get on the 6.0 forum and figure out what all to look for, and get a scan tool, it could save you thousands right off the bat. If you search and read, you will find out what all to look for, it's a common question here.

Recent head gaskets, it is great to see receipts. Because Ford head gaskets are preferred, with new TTY bolts ( Apr studs are preferred upgrade).
you need a odb2 gauge (not a scan tool) to read live date on your test drive. Oil cooler temp vs coolant difference is key to knowing if you have hidden issues.
The 6l forum has the skinny on what to check when buying.

Yes, the 6.0 is good. However, with a caveat. Ask for receipts for work done. Invest in a scanguage II or use the torque app for live realtime date. There are many parts and pieces to this engine
Watch the FICM voltage, engine oil temp and engine coolant temp. Study up on its quirks. If you catch issues soon enough repairs are cheaper less involved. Example: FICM goes bad. Catch that before it takes out injectors.
I like the 6.2 gas in the 11 on. However, they are hard to come by around here. So I opted for a 6.0. I have been happy with my 06.
