Ok, so this is really a hope to find a part. My brother has a 1988 F350 with a 5.8L 351W V8. I just rebuilt the motor, he was putting the oil dipstick tube in and it broke in half on him(it was rusty in the center and he pushed too hard and it broke right in half). This tube is seated through the bottom of the engine block on the drivers side of the motor through to the oil pan. I have been looking for two weeks now trying to find one both online and in junkyards in my area with no luck. Could only find ones that would enter through the timing cover which would be the case for a mustang. Anyone know a part # or where to get one? I could make one if I really need to but time has been an issue and it would be nice to get one. Thanks

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC shows 1 = 800-476-9653. But it's only listed on one website (rearcounter.com).

The other website that Carpenter lists obsolete parts (PartsVoice.com) doesn't show any. So he might have it, might not.

METRO MOTORS INC. in Christiansted US Virgin Islands has 1 = 340-718-2121 x 114.

This one is listed on the Ford D2D = Dealer to Dealer, Ford Dealer Parts Locator System. Metro's inventory updated today (11/10/2016).

 

Hey thanks a lot for the info. Having the part number helps a lot. I checked with the guy at rearpartscounter and they don't have one, but will keep trying my luck
