Actually I think the 350 has a 3" shank, but come with 3 to 2.5 and 2.5 to 2 adapters. The 250 is 2.5" unless we get the high capacity trailer package, then it is 3"

Weigh-safe is making a 3" adjustable now. Awesome hitch so you don't have to deal with the spacers. Tell them Braxton sent you.

email her directly and tell her Braxton said she is selling them already. Production just started so they are having a hard time keeping up after SEMA but they should be able to send it out in about a week. I'm going with the 8" 180 model and they said that should ship next week. Looked awesome at the show.

Actually it has to do with the engine if it's an F250 heavy duty with the diesel it has a 3 inch receiver. If it's an F350 with a gas motor it has a 2 1/2 inch receiver if the F350 has a diesel it has a 3 inch receiver.

I think my hitch will be 2 1/2". F250 Lariat, Gas, 10000#GVWR, Gooseneck hitch kit, 4x4.

My current Sierra 4x4 is towing my boat with a ball height of 22.5"(ground to top of ball). Any one have an idea what range I will need on a hitch drop to get about this height? Thinking about the Weigh Safe 180 adjustable.

We know your hitch will be the 2 1/2...you're getting a gas 250. The azz end of these trucks sit REALLY high. For my dad's boat, his old 2011 top of hitch measurement had to be around 19 1/2 - 20 to work with his modified/lowered bay boat trailer and being able to get it into the garage. He had a 3" drop B&W...so he got a 5" inch drop model. Got it home and tried it...NO GO...lowest setting only gave him 21 1/2..so back to the store and came home with the 7" drop B&W Tow and Stow and it now gives him the flexibility in the bottom two settings to work with his bay boat and utility trailer. I actually got the same drop...in case he needs to use my truck. I can get away with a little higher ball measurement on my Nautique and TT.....probably around 21 to the top of the ball measured from ground up for my use. I've got some pics of the 7 inch B&W in one of the other threads. I think it's titled 3" inch receiver or something like that. Good luck with your new truck.

I pre-ordered my weigh safe 3" with 8" drop over the phone today. $339 + $12.99 shipping.

They estimate stock arriving in 2 weeks, but could have hiccups.
