A new turbo & live tuning?

I,m wanting to buy a kc turbo 94.5-97 kc -tp38r for my f350. It seems that people are buying the hydra chip & getting PHP tunes. Does anyone know of live tuning after this is installed? I would like to get the best out of the these add on. I have not phoned any of the venders yet. Thanks for any advice Friskyjake

I've been trying for a long time to get live tuning. If your fortunate to be near a live tuner then go for it. I have a hydra and a 100 hp PHP tune, its awesome. Four other tuners too.

Drop in turbos are a half way alternative. You might be OK but a t4 turbo will be better everytime. You will have to do up pipes at some point and a t4 kit will fix that at the same time.

live tuning &

Yes I,m still working on cars & trucks. I,m a retired pro wrench & welder,& I believe that it is good for the brain & the body. I,m lucky to be healthy. in my other report I had forgotten to say I have a DC welder under the hood of my truck, & a Miller Ac DC in my shop. There both stick welders & very smooth. Oldbird 1965 it would be nice to talk to you via phone. If you e-mail me a # I,ll call when it would be OK. [if that is OK by you]. ozziefriesen@yahoo.com

I have new ACs, 6.0 IC, TP38r and a Hydra with PHP tunes. I'm loving that combo. I do some light towing. EGTs are low, 15 to 18 mpg towing the trailer and 20 to 21 when not.

Oh, I'm new here. I don't see where to edit my signature. Here are the details.

97 F350 XL std cab, zf5, srw, 4wd, & 3.55s
Donaldson, 3" dp, 203F t-stat,NEW Alliant ACs & Hydra w/ PHP tunes, DIY 60 gl tank, 6 gl sump, wood box, eFuel/Cat filters, Auber instruments & IDM mod, DIY deer deflector, rear bumper, recessed hitch, KC-TP38r, bellowed up pipes, 6.0 IC & 3" plenums w/inserts, Bronco overhead console & lower door panels, custom upholstered 40/20/40

turbo & live tuning

Thank you for your reply, METO. My choice will be a KC-tp38Rturbo. I know it is very new turbo with not many reviews but I,m going take a chance on it being very good. I,m waiting on Charles from KC to get back to me threw my friend Bill in northern Calif. My live tuning will be done in spring in Wash. by Jody from DP tuning. Excited OH yes. I wish there was a phone # for KC turbo to contact Charles. If someone knows it, please send be a PM. Thanks again . Friskyjake.

Best way to contact Charles is by email, he is a busy man. He will get back to you. You could also ask Corey at CNC Fab. Very helpful and he is the only guy who sells the TP38r.
