The 5.2 is the upgrade from the 5.0. As seen in the GT350 and now a different version is available as a crate engine. The GT350 motor is, so far, not available as a crate motor according to this:
First Look at the 5.2L Aluminator XS Crate Engine
5.2 is roughly 317 CID.
Why bother with a 351 when you have a 317, and also the 6.2 at approx. 378 CID?

The 6.2 has aluminum heads (I think). 400+ hp in the Raptor.

Way more than that with a supercharger.
Yes you can make power with a now 20 years gone 351W. But that doesn't mean Ford is going to issue yet another gas V8 in that displacement just for old times sake.

turns out that the 2013 Shelby had a 5.8 DOHC twin turbo 662hp... I don't think
Ford is making that engine any longer, I did a search..
sorry guys I don't keep up much on new cars, my newest is a 74...
one day, when my "uncle" gets his hands out of my pockets, I'd like a
Mustang convertible, but then I hate the thought of smoging a car, paying the
fee's on a car... hahaha
