I have State Farm insurance and it's not the cheapest. I was thinking about trading in my 2013 Lariat Superduty on a 2017 lariat but I was told my insurance rates would double.
Any insight from guys that have purchased a 2017, did rates go up quite a bit?
State Farm charges an arm and a leg. Consider moving everything to Allstate for a package deal. I think they are better at identifying (and charging accordingly) low risk people.
I went from a 07 1/2 ton to a new one to a 350 CCSB. My insurance was going to go up $100/6 months. I'm one of those guys who can't stand paying a penny more than I have to for insurance so with that, I did some checking. I ended up dropping my insurance by $100.00/6months in the end. Switched to AAA. My rates dropped on our other vehicles as well.
Thanks for the feedback. Was going to call State Farm this week but I just wanted to know what you guys that have already made the switch to the 2017 Superduty have seen so far!
Did USAA give any hassle at all about insuring an F450?
They did not. They just asked for the basic stuff like miles diving per year, who's driving, etc. I mentioned that it would be used for personal use just in case.
My coverage for my 250 Platinum is 562 and thats with State Farm. Probably depends on a lot more factors than just the vehicle.
In the end, AAA quoted me $300.00/ 6 months. Coverage is 100/300/100 w/$500 ded. Like Ryan says though, much depends on other factors as well, but maybe its worth a check for you guys. I don't believe they will do 450's and up though.
I should note that you need a AAA membership, but it was $60/yr and even with that, these guys were the cheapest by a considerable amount for me.
