Hey everyone!

So I'm new to Ford and wanted ask for some opinions if possible..

I'm interested in two vehicles this week to buy and wanted to see what you guys thought.

The first vehicle is a 2002 Explorer 4d 4wd 4.0 6cyl with 97,000 miles.

Second vehicle is 2003 expedition xlt 4dr 4wd 5.4 v8 with 115,000 miles

Any suggestions on which one to get?

The 4.0 V8 that year is trouble prone in the cam chain area. 5 speed automatic is a delicate flower as well. Pass.

The 5.4 V8s had plug issues. Plug blowout, plug breakage, thread stripping.
If the seller can document a repair, consider it. If it is original plugs, which is possible, be wary. This can be an expensive fix.
