2014 explorer heated seat problem
I have a 14 limited and the d/s heated leather seat does not work. heated seat graphic on the screen shows it on but does not get hot anymore. anyone have this issue and could it be fixed ourselves? or I am afraid what the dealership would charge if it is the grid inside of the seat? anyone know the simple things to look for on this?
thx

is it still under warranty ?
If so, let them play...
if not, first thing I would do is check for voltage at the input to the seat grid, should be easy enough to get to the plug under the seat...
if voltage there, probably your grid, and they CAN be replaced...
they are not that expensive - it's the labor that'll get ya !

i know it is the labor....on my 2012 wrangler same thing happened, bad grid in the seat....I can get the oem parts for $38.99 dealer wants $900+ to fix....maybe these are signs I need to lose some weight?? Only difference on the jeep light goes on then shuts off, in the explorer the light on the screen just stays lit
