I know precious little about sleds ....
Did they ever start putting reverse gear in them?
How about 4 stroke?

To back up? If so ten that is pretty common. Skidoo for the two strokes reverses the engine rotation for backing up. 4 strokes use a gearbox. Sleds have had reverse for a long time

Lots of sleds with reverse for many years now. Yamaha is strictly 4 stroke with a smattering among the others. Arctic Cat has quite a few because they and Yamaha have partnered on some sleds. Yamaha motors and AC bodies/suspensions.

What happened to that one? I need to pull the engine from my 05, one side has around 25psi. I guess after 11000+ miles its time

Reverse is the best thing since heated handle grips on sleds!
The engine reverse is pretty slick!

Wow - engine reversed! Now that's a new one on me! I would think you couldn't run it long that way...
Thanks for the education!
