2017 F250 King Ranch

Although my truck is not due in until next month, I did see this one at my dealer while passing through this morning.

those running boards look different. Looks like the end caps are thicker or raised up. Is this a king ranch thing or something. could just be my eyes playing tricks on me.

They are KR specific and are lighted. At least, that's according to the build and price tool

I hadn't seen them before. They would be a cool option on a non KR if they just bolted on and plugged in!

Somebody had a pic of a wire underneath their truck, I don't remember which thread. My guess is that these boards plug directly into that. I was going to comment on that thread but forgot and not sure which one it was.

While I much prefer the King Ranch trucks now having a "real" Powerstroke emblem instead of the cheesy tape strip text, I miss the nice large door decals the old truck had. Seems to be plenty of room for them.

There was a blanked off plug on the 2011-2016 trucks - probably for that purpose. No clue on the new trucks.

This has been confirmed as not the plug for the power running boards.

But is it for the lighted King Ranch running boards?
