Ready to buy - Platinum and other questions
First of all, new to the forum but have been following topics on the new super duty since 2015. Appreciate all the great input and genuine help shown to all.
I'm finally ready to order. I plan on purchasing a Platinum f250 SRW diesel long bed 4x4. The primary reason for Platinum long bed - looking for most comfortable ride. Wife has a spinal cord injury and every little bump is painful.
My questions:
Now that i have seen the White Gold in person, it has grown on me. Any feedback on those who have purchased or not and opinions? My other choice would be white platinum or silver.
I currently have a Ranch Hand bumper guard. Has anyone installed one on the new 2017 Super Duty and if so, pictures or opinions on installing on a Platinum. I live in deer country.
I pull a 7000 lb boat. What options do i need to be sure to add to ensure the most efficient pulling capacity? I need to get it into a 7 foot garage.
I plan on upgrading wheels and tires -- i always go with a black wheel upgrade and better tire. Any advice or pictures for black wheel on the white gold? Better options or advice?
Is anyone planning on installing a performance chip and if so, details please.
Anything I need to be sure to include on the Platinum? Any dealer in OK that anyone recommends for a cash purchase? I can get the X Plan pin, but anything else to consider?
Sorry for all the questions. The new trucks appear to be all that.

IMO - White Gold looks great in full sun (See above photo - sexy truck). But in the shade/cloudy days, the color loses all its luster and fun, turning into a tan-ish, beige truck. I was originally all about the White-Gold until seeing the color in person. I wish Ford would have mixed in a little more white to make the color more dynamic in all types of lighting. So to my eyes, go White Plat or Silver.

You may have read the thread where the guy opted out of a Super Duty because he thought the ride was too harsh. He's going back to a F150 because of it. I only mention that because you mentioned your wife needs a smoother ride which the F150 will do a better job of. It's not as good with your boat but it can handle it. Have you driven a new 2017 yet to make sure it's not too stiff?

Radar box warning radar box!!
Above the review mirror. Ford is calling it the 7th camera.
In the 2015 platinum f150 I traded I remember this because it would built up with snow and trigger a warning.
the radar box behind the black plastic left of the drivers side tow hook for adaptive cruise. Slush blocks the radar and adaptive cruise fails until you wipe it clean.
(It just reverts to old fashion cruise control. until you wipe it clean)
The strip on the dash is an L.E.D. It flashes red to warn of collision
I cleaned it many times last winter !

Platinum trim level will not ride any differently than the rest, however, you will have the messaging & heated/cooled seats with the Platinum which may help your wife's back. The heat helps mine. I agree with the earlier post about you may want to test drive the SD first and possibly look at the F150 which most def has a much smoother ride. I only say this because of the concern for your wife. SD trucks are awesome at what they are built for but may prove to be too stiff. If you do go with the SD def don't run max air psi in the tires when not towing. Let it down and the ride will improve substantially.
