Cant get turbo bolt off PLZ help!

Hey all,
I am doing some EGR work on my truck. I am to the point where I have one last bolt on my turbo charger that I need to remove. It is the one on the drivers side that requires a swivel.
I am using a 3/8 inch 10mm with swivel on a 12 inch extension. The problem is that the socket just rolls off of the bolt and will not grab it at a square angle so again, it just slips off. I have been working at this one for the past 4 hours.

*Edit* The bolt seems to be slightly rounded.

what is in the way?

firewall, sheet metal, frame.
1/2 drive might be better .. even 1/4 inch drive... anything to get the job done.

possible unbolt other stuff for better angles.

if thin metal.. drill a 1 inch hole for better angle . if possible..

I figured out the problem. I had trouble with the socket slipping off. The dang bolt was rounded off (From previous owner). so what I did was I got the socket and filled it full of JB weld and stuck it on. If this doesn't do the job then I do not know what to do next... I may be ****ed.
Maybe Cut the head off the bolt... Surely this has happened to someone else.

Are you useing a 6 or 12 point socket? What brand of socket? Sometime getting a better quality tool will make a difference. You might find a Snap On socket at a pawn shop for cheap, if you can't borrow one. 400ish grit sand paper over the bolt head then drive the socket on with a hammer might do it also

6 point socket. If the jb weld fails me tomorrow, then I will use some of my grabber sockets that might extract the bolt. I have to have this work finished so that I can go to work monday lol

I got it. I ended up cutting the head off which released torque and then I cut a groove in it and used a screwdriver to remove it.
