Folding down the rear driver's side seat?

Potentially a dumb question but looked in the manual and it doesn't say.

The 40 side of the 60/40 rear seat folds up and there is also a little loop on the side to fold the seat back down to access the jack. Does the 60 side fold down? I have shoved my big hand back in there and felt around but can't find anything to make it fold like the other side.

Anyone know?

The loop at the top of the seatback is for a Child safety seat tether.

I remember seeing that too Rob. I think that was an XLT, maybe it's different?

The linked post is mine... I dumped a bunch of photos there, so I'll pull out the relevant info here for quicker reference, I'm sure a few people will hit this.

Maybe I can save someone else a headache... The driver side rear seat is latched with that vinyl webbed strap, which needs to be pulled up to release it to let it down. That's not very easy, small hands help. It took me a good 20 minutes to figure out how to do it, and I like to think I'm good at those kinda things. The owner's manual doesn't even show that these can fold down, so it wasn't much help. After doing it a couple times to see if I could master it (no), I tied this rope I had through it and the head rest, now I can just pull on that rope to release it, which seems to work brilliantly.

I remember seeing this pic, thanks for sharing it again. When I reach behind mine in the same location there is a knobby piece of molded plastic out near the edge of the seat that you can kind of wiggle around. But there is no loop attached to it and it is definitely not metal like what's in your pic. I'll say it... what a dumb design. lol :-)

Mine works OK when you get it worked out... that vinyl's attached to a plastic knobby piece like you describe, I will take more pictures later if it helps.

On mine, the only dumb part of the design is that they didn't make the strap long enough to make it to the top and integrated it like they did the passenger side. Solved that

To be fair, they don't advertise that the seats fold down at all. I was really just happy to discover that.
