Adaptive Cruise?

Struck deal with dealer late Friday pm, and they'll be placing my order Monday morning. Magnetic Lariat CC LB F350. Hadn't planned on the Adaptive Cruise from the beginning, but now wondering if I should add it. Any experience with it? Any suggestions or input? I have a 40' toy hauler, but will mostly be my daily driver to and from work and around town. With my current 2008 F250 CC SB I rarely use the cruise when towing because I don't like the way it's constantly flooring it for every minor hill. My gas mileage is pitiful anyway when towing (6-7mpg), and I figure that can't help it. However, when not towing I use the cruise all the time unless the traffic is heavy. Just not sure it's worth the extra bucks for the adaptive aspect.

We love our Adaptive cruise in our Fusion, set your sped and it adjusts to traffic, you can set it to 1 car space to 4 car space, The fusions also has what is called stop and go, if in traffic and it come to a stop your car will stop, but youll need to get on the brakes if it more than 3 seconds. Will also work while towing will apply the trailer brakes when needed.

Never owned a Ford in my life but buying one just for this feature alone. We have ACC on my wife's car and it is awesome.

I'd put in a yes vote for it. My wife's last SUV was the first vehicle we had with it. At first I rejected it on principle but after a while I grew to really like it. Blind spot monitoring and lane departure warning are things I can do without but ACC is one I really like on long trips which is what my truck is for. (Towing our RV...)

ACC is one more item orphaned for those who do not want the Crew Cab and Ultimate Lariat package and above. In my mind the extended cab is every bit as much a luxury truck but the need for an 8' bed and not wanting a full 176" wheel base leaves some of the great features of the new lineup off the table. I agree, Rodney that the ACC would really be nice for the long road trips, especially now that the trailer brakes are brought into the formula.

I was kind of iffy on if I would care if my truck had it or not but I can officially report its an awesome feature and works as advertised. Don't skip it if you are on interstates or even long stretches of road frequently.

Yep. As others stated. It is a must IMO. Awesome feature. Takes the "road rage" out of the equation.

I would not buy another vehicle without adaptive cruise control. I use it every day in town and on the highway.

WOW

After reading the article, I am VERY glad it is on my "incoming" truck. Really amazing how it works with the engine brake as well... Ford put in some overtime on this design (You think they could have loaned ONE guy out to check on the weight stickers......LOL).
