I wasn't too worried about this since my wheels won't accommodate the sensors. I just mounted it on the outside of the RV's frame along with the camera cable. If I eventually purchase wheels that the sensors will fit I'll move it...

I wonder if the cable can be shortened if needed, instead of bundled up. As my TT is only 22 ft bundling 20ft of cable will be a bit of a problem.

When I initially read this thread I was going to cancel this option from my order. But after reading some more I decided I could make this work for my situation. The sensors should work with the wheels on our flatbed trailer (Jeep hauler). We're planning on getting new tires for the trailer next year and will just make sure we don't get steel carcass tires.

I'm planning on shortening the cable as the camera will be going onto the back of a slide-in and we probably won't need more than 10' of it. Definitely don't want to haul around the weight of 30' + of excess cable.

Would also like to know how the cameras work in low light, I have an existing camera on my trailer that has IR LED's for low light conditions.

I would think so just wires and a plastic shroud.

part numbers

Does anyone have any part numbers for the 2, 4, and 6, wheel kit?
Can someone post up the sensor and/or TPMS module's FCC ID so we can confirm the frequency? Maybe the truck's sensors are the same?

I included the option with my truck order and honestly I have no idea how it is to be delivered. I assumed it would be in a box inside the truck. Are you saying that its mailed to you?

So is camera included in the Tow technology package or is it a separate item?
copied this off my window sticker, dealer said trailer camera is an extra $500.

Tow technology bundle $1735.00
adaptive steering
lane keeping alert
ultimate trailer tow camera

This thread is about the camera that mounts to the back of the trailer. Not the cameras that are on the truck itself which come in the tow tech bundle.

Yes the trailer camera, is it separate from the bundle? Your comment answers my question.

Right. The trailer mounted camera is separate. It can be ordered along with the TPMS system or by itself...
