She sent me an email that read

"Hi Mr. Gonzalez,

I just forwarded your email to Jose Collazo, the Body Shop Manager, would should be calling you right away. So sorry- he should get resolved to your satisfaction.

Linda "

Pretty funny I thought. You have a customer that is furious with the lack of attention of your shop and quality of work and that is your reply?? The regional Manager called me yesterday but I was in a meeting and missed the call. I calledback but got her voicemail. I am going to try again shortly

Glad to know you did as many don't.
And it sucks about the paint issues and I do hope its fixed soon and done correctly ☺

When I bought my previous truck it was the first truck I ever owned. Never thought twice about it. Got screwed royally.

When i bought this one I actually spent over an hour looking over body lines, seams, gabs etc. The salesmen was pissed kept asking what I was looking for. Once I agreed we went to walk inside and m it came to me. I screamed **** and said one more thing. Went back and spent another 45 mins on the roof. Lol

He was fuming

Its your right to spend time looking it over.
Don't know why the sales guy would are if it was 1 hour or 4 hours.
People get inspections by whole huge teams before buying many things.
Your just 1 guy and not taking it apart even.....just a visual check.
I sold a helicopter about 4 months ago.
3 guys showed up hired by the prospective buyer and spent 2 days tearing it apart.
Hell i didn't are, I would have done the same.
Those who are concerned are hiding something IMO.

I admit I did not look at the roof of my truck when I bought it

Lesson learned. There was a thread in the general section where a guy bought a used F150 with a drop in bed liner. After he bought it he took it out and the bed looked like people had thrown cinder blocks bricks and chunks of concrete in it with no discretion.

Just spoke to the Regional Manager.

Honestly she did not give me the warm and fuzzy feeling I was hoping for but is being helpful. She said she contacted the repairing dealership "Sunstate Ford" and they said the truck was repaired. What else was I looking for. I explained to her that yes it was attempted to be repaired...twice... but the work is horrible and I will not accept it.

She suggested other Ford Body Shops in my area to which we agreed to one of them. She called them for me and spoke to their manager. She called me back and told me contact them directly to set up a time to have the truck looked at. So tomorrow morning I have an apt with Don Reid Ford in Maitland. The guy says the entire process starts over now. Photos need to be taken and sent to Ford then approved before any work can be started. He then said his first available date is 9/19 to drop it off for repairs.....

The ****ty thing is that now the horrible repair although looking bad does not look like a horrible canyon rusting in my truck. So who knows maybe now they will deny it!! The other odd thing is that the Regional Manager started telling me Ford shops right by my house and asking why I am driving so far if I have some so close. I explained I was told that only a Ford with a body shop can do the work to which she replied "Oh...oh yea". That was pretty concerning.....

Oh well. I guess we will see what tomorrow brings.

Just stop as a normal body shop that you like and get then to look
at it and write it up. Always good to have 3 estimates on repair jobs.

I was going to do that but figured I wouldnt even set myself up for the aggravation. The Regional Manager specifically told me it had to be fixed at a Ford dealer. So if I see my body shop estimates it at $4,000 and Ford at $2,000 Ill be fuming cause Ill know they cut corners.

I'd keep going up the chain. Absolutely no way you should have to settle for such **** poor work from a Ford dealer on a brand new truck AND get talked down to. They should be kissing your butt, picking the truck up from your house and giving you a loaner. This is totally unacceptable.
