88 f250 randomly dying/not starting

Hello, I have an 88 f250 with the 460. It's been dying on me and will sometimes restart and sometimes it wont. When it's running it runs just fine then dies quickly. Sometimes it will start right back up and then die again. And at times won't start at all. I've owned it for a few months. I noticed the fuel tank is new, I dropped it and the pump looked new as well, I can hear kit on as well. Also the high pressure pump kicks on but is not new. When it won't start it turns over just fine. I've replaced the fuel pump relay and also the fuel filter. Please help, moving in a few weeks and need the truck. Thanks in advance.

Run the KOEO tests and stored (Continuous Memory) code display. A frequent cause of this issue is a bad PIP sensor inside the distributor. There is a stored code for this.

If there is no PIP code then you need to check to see if you are missing spark ( perhaps a bad TFI module) or losing fuel pressure when the issue occurs.

It's a process of elimination and good diagnostic procedures. Throwing parts at it usually results in a wallet biopsy and no resolution.
