Come to think of it thir was a little discoleration and pealing of that rubber insulator coating under one of the capasitors but it was not much so i didnt think to much of it. I do have a fluke with capasitance abilty can you messure them while still on the board?
Yeah i figured you couldnt but i figured i would ask anyways i guess im going to go hit pick and pull see if i can find something to at least test with thanks guys ill update what i find in the next couple of days when i have time to work on it
626 & 629 are two different solenoids that did not change state when told too so I dough that the solenoid pack is bad.
You might want to check the back of the plug going into the transmission on the passenger side as the wire have become disconnected at that point. Very common if someone has left the heat shield off that protects the plug from the heat of the exhaust.
For the EVR code check the wiring going back to the Computer and the red supply wire that gives power to the solenoid. If wiring is OK change out the EVR solenoid.
Im going ro pick and pull today and im going to see if i can get a pcm at least one for testing and a plug off another E4od the one on mine the wires to test good for continuity to the pcm plug but their was no heat sheild by the exhaust and the wires did look black and might only have a couple strands still holding on the inside who knows but im going to grab some more stuff and start work again this evening ill let you know what i find

Bringing this back from the dead, did you ever figure this out? I'm in the same boat with a 1992 5.8l with codes 558 and 332 and I've changed out the EVR and it's still the same issue. Can anyone post how to definitely check the circuit back from the EVR solenoid to the computer?
I have a 95 f150 xlt, speedometer is all over the place, transmission issues and now that I ran the obd test I got the 558 and 332 codes. Has anyone figured out any answers to this problem yet.
