Lost only key to 99 navigator
Here's the deal....husband and I were at dog park in our 99 Lincoln navigator. Put the keys and phones in the stroller and went in to the park. The stroller rolled down the hill and dumped into the dog pond. I was able to recover my phone, which now doesn't work....smh, but I could not find our keys. We went to northern tool to get a heavy duty magnet to try sweeping the area but they are gone.
This is our only key.....and I don't have means to have a dealer come and replace it, not to mention that we don't have the title transferred into our name yet to prove ownership.
I spoke with the police department who allowed for us to keep the car at the park over night, but I need to find a way to get it started to get it home until I get the money to get the title transferred and replace the key.
Any ideas on how I might be able to bypass the ignition switch?

You can't because the key has a chip in it to satisfy the anti-theft system. A locksmith is about half the cost of a dealer and the locksmith will come out on-site which will save towing costs.
