Are there any updated exhaust systems out there for the gen 1 Lightnings? An exhaust that will exit behind the rear tires, with two pipes, like the original? I have the bed off mine now, and need at least one muffler for sure. I thought by now there might be a cat back kit out there that would match original, but I can't find it. Basani has a cat back, but it appears to have only one exit pipe. Anyone know of anything new?? Thanks..I have a 94 Lightning.

 

Sorry for the delayed response...You may be able to find a used factory piece, but the aftermarket pieces I've seen are just like you described; single instead of dual. You may want to try a local exhaust shop. On a rare occasion I have seen some factory pieces for sale.

Thanks, I was afraid that was the answer. I guess it is a complicated exhaust from the factory. I am going to replace just the one muffler for now.

 

No no...eBay sells kits from suppliers all over for pretty cheap, check it out before you do anything custom, I've gotten single pipe exits behind the tire a lot of times off eBay, cheap too, less than 200. You may have to settle for single, but I think you could find dual tip.

Getting ready to sell my 94 and it has a dual Bassani. Guess it's a selling point.
