Forscan questions
I bought a 2016 F250 6.7 In June and one of the things I was surprised about was how little Ford built in monitoring system for the driver of the DPF and regen process. Being that they are critical to proper function of the truck and without adhering to certain driving techniques your truck could be disabled.
So, I was happy to see the Forscan app and got my wifi for IOS adapter. Works perfect. I just don't know what I am seeing and how to make sense of it. So, a few questions.
1. Why is my DPF load so high? 135.xx%? Shouldn't a regen trigger at something below 100%?
2. I can see I have gone above my average miles for a regen (328) at this point. (393). Is that because I just towed a heavy boat about 500 miles? Did it exceed my average need for regen?
3. Do all of my other indicators look normal for unloaded highway cruising?
4. What are the most popular/important things to monitor? Are there things of interest other than under the PCM?
5. Lastly, is there ANY risk of me changing something ON THE TRUCK via this app? Can I do something to affect it by selecting these things to monitor?
Thanks!
