New to forum and restoring.

I just purchased a 1960 ford F100. It was in good enough shape to drive it 200 miles home. It has a early 70's 302 and a C4 transmission. I have several pics in my gallery. Being that this is going to be my first restore I'm sure that I will be pestering you good people often with stupid questions like this one. The first order of business is to replace the fuel tank so I can get insurance for it. I have been told that the 70 mustang tank works well. I'm going to go with a new one. Who has the best deals? I'm used to dealing with CJ pony parts.

I put a 69 mustang tank in mine and made the license plate fold down to fill the tank. I have pictures in my gallery. However mine is a long bed, so I am not sure if it will fit in the short bed this way. 1960 Ford F100 4x2-Gas Tank Install

Is that some kind of law in Alabama? And I assume that to mean no company will (can) insure a vehicle with the fuel tank in the passenger compartment (or something to that effect) in your state.

The company that my other vehicles are with said that. I am trying through Hagerty now. Either way it only has a 10 gal tank. I have to do something. And have to replace the bed wood anyway.
