Brakes sticking?

Hi guys, I've had this problem for quite a while now where the brakes are really sensitive. The truck will sit overnight or for a couple days and I go to drive it and the brakes stick I should add its only the rear brake shoes. I have adjusted and adjusted the rear shoes also the parking brake cables are disconnected so I know it's not that. After a mile or two of driving the brakes dont hold the truck back anymore.

Any ideas?

Are they adjusted to tight ... Jack the truck up when cool and see if they turn without dragging.

Bad rubber hose can also cause issues like this.

Also if the Master Cylinder push rod/pedal etc... is not allowing the master cylinder to return all the way home it won't release the rear brakes. The pushrod should have a tiny bit of slack in it.

-Enjoy

When was the last time the drums were pulled?
brakes are really sensitive
This is a sign of brake fluid getting on the shoes.

I would pull the drums, pull back the rubber cups on the wheel cly looking for wetness. If dry and all looks good replace the rubber hose, bleed system, adjust drums and see what happens.

If still an issue look at the master for piston sticking. Can't see the rod needing adjusting if it was ok before but a pedal that does not release all the way can cause issues.
