Freakify mod

Hey guys, I'm in the middle of installing my turbo with the freakify mod (99 and up center cartridge swap) I am having trouble getting everything in. It's all supposed to just line up and bolt in but it's not wanting to fit... My backplate for the impeller housing (1995) doesn't line up with the bolt holes, and the impeller housing from the 01 turbo that I bought won't fit, it is hitting the drivers side fuel supply line. I'm trying to get this truck going today but it's not working out, it's been down for 3 weeks now with everything I've been doing to it. Any help is appreciated! Thanks

Riff raff offers everything you need in one kit.

To be clear the parts need to be for an early 99

Yeah, I'd been emailing Clay back and forth. He told me about their kit, it's really nice for a great price. I'd already bought most of the parts though so it wasn't economical for me. I'm going to end up spending more buying the parts than his kit though.

Ok, so I'll see if I can exchange the center cartridge that I bought for a early 99 one.

I have the early 99 pedestal installed already and went to install the center cartridge that I bought (late 99 - 03), that is when I found out my mistake... the impeller housing is too big and hits the drivers side fuel supply line to the head.

They are the same e99-03 center cartridge, I don't know why would it be different. I mismatch late and early parts with no problem.

OK let's see, the only things needed for the Freakify mod were center cartridge from e-99-03, and e-99 pedestal. You will be using your stock exhaust housing, turbine, compressor back plate and housing everything should line up.

I tried swapping my '95 back plate onto the center cartridge but the holes don't line up... Not sure what the issue is if I could use my back plate and impeller housing that would be great, but it wouldn't line up for me yesterday.

Yes I did get the late model housing... I didn't realize that it wouldn't fit until I went to install it...

Ok, I emailed Kevin at SP Turboost. He is sending me an early '99 back plate, and said that my compressor housing should bolt right on to it. I guess the bolt pattern is slightly off on my back plate, both of the top bolts go in fine but the bottom two are off-set. Kevin was very helpful, and very quick to respond to my emails, he said he will mail me the back plate tomorrow and that I can just mail him the other one when I get a chance. I would definitely recommend him to anyone else.
