2017 F100 Supernats MOVING AGAIN
Well the rumor is the 2017 supernats are going back to Pigeon Forge. So a call to Charlie C confirmed this at a 99% probability
The date of the show is being moved back to the last week of April and they are looking at the Dollywood parking lot.
I'll go where the show goes

That might get interesting. I went to Dollywood about 2 months ago. Was supposed to be an "off weekend". We got there about 9 or 10 o'clock, and we still had to park at Splash Country (which is beyond the end of the Dollywood parking lot). My point is the Dollywood crowd keeps growing every single year. I just don't see how they're going to give up the needed space for an event like the Supernats.

Kevin,
sounds great to me... I wasn't impressed with the Lebanon site at all and told wife this will probably be last supernats for me... so I'm happy to hear it.
AFA Dollywood... won't kids still be in school in April ?? Crowds shouldn't be a problem, right ?? 'sept maybe on Saturday...
I'll be happy with the move as well as my wife cause Lebanons got nothing if you don't like trucks...

After thinking about it some more, I'd bet he's planning on renting the Splash Country parking lot actually. That makes sense because I don't think that park opens until sometime in May. It would work well for that show (but it's a big piece of asphalt with little shade in the middle, and it gently slopes uphill).

well, that's disappointing... I was thoroughly disappointed with Lebanon. Nothing to eat, nothing to do (other than the trucks)... wife needs activity also... She spent the entire time sitting in Mid-50s building.(which wasn't Charlie's fault... the weather wasn't very nice). It didn't take me more than 1.5 hours to see all I wanted and to pick up my a/c unit from Mid-50 . I Wasn't impressed with the number of vehicles. I'm into 45-56, later than that I walk on by... I said after last May I wouldn't be back to Lebanon and it's still true... What happened to Dollywood, Kevin ???
Sorry Steve... another missed opportunity... maybe crusin the coast ??

Just tossing out that the Street Rod Nat's in Louisville are in August. More vendors than you can shake a stick at, a huge flea market and plenty of alternative entertainment in the area. Maybe contacting the promoter and seeing if there's a way to section a block of spaces is a possibility. Plus, a lot of peeps here seem to have interests in vehicles other than just our trucks. And there's the ability for group outings beyond the scope of the fairgrounds - a truck cruise, group outings (maybe a dinner cruise on the Belle of Louisville, etc.)
I can understand there are some that appreciate a smaller venue but I also think many travel to see as many different trucks as possible for ideas and camaraderie. Plus a lot show up to save money on shipping items as many vendors will bring along pre-ordered parts and also offer discounts you wouldn't normally get any other way. The vendors have a lot of expense involved in travelling and many only show up at the larger events.
