To those with the hopkins easy lift tailgate assist (not to be confused with the tailgate assist shock that assists with it going DOWN), anyone have this on a dually? Can't seem to get it to work on my dually, i think the little 3 lights directly under my tailgate that come on DRW trucks is in the way. Was really hoping to use this to help take a lot of the weight off when lifting the gate back up, but doesn't look like I can, unless I'm doing something wrong. Etrailer.com says it fits all SD models (the part i got). Gonna try calling them tomorrow again, couldn't get through today.

bump, anyone have any input on this? i still have this (probably should have returned it) but i'd really like to be able to install it but it looks like it just won't fit, unless i'm doing something wrong. even eTrailer support said it SHOULD work, but wasn't 100% sure
