Im 17 and have a 2x4 85 single cab flatbed F350 dually with no title but it runs and drives fine. It has a Carbed 460 with a borgwarner t19 4speed behind it. I paid 400$ for the truck and i need something to swap the engine and trans to. First thought that went through my head was tiny Ranger drag truck but thats a little extreme for me at this time. I want to swap it into a F150 long bed pickup. Any year from 83-96. I have a complete donor truck at my disposal and i need to know what problems i will face putting the motor and trans into a f150. Thanks in advance

So you are looking for a truck to swap the 460 into?

Let's back up a bit. Why is there no title for the F350? Solving that issue would be easier than swapping power trains.

But the date range you are talking about had the 460 installed as OEM. I would suggest you look for one with a 460 in it already. It may take a while but you should be able to find one with a blown or worn out motor that's still worth fooling with.

An engine swap like this is loaded with details, and each one can become a "problem". For example, you may need a bigger radiator. Fine, you have a donor. But what if the donor is not compatible with your new truck?

Even swapping 460 to 460 you will run into enough stuff like that due to model year changes etc to either cure you or prepare you for a bigger project.
