Thank's to those that teach us all.

There are those FTE members that seem to always be there. You know the ones they are many, and so freely help, teach, and encourage the rest of us with what ever we need. The purpose of this thread is to just let them know that we do listen and do learn from there efforts. I know it must get repetitious answering some of the same questions over and over and easy to think know body is really listening, but we do. Today an example prompted me to start this thread . Today while working on my tailgate when I took it out to bake in the 100 degree sun I realized just how much better it looked than the paint I shot 5 years ago, and there is a reason for that. Five years ago I received a lot of personal help from certain members, some on the board, and some in PM's where guys that have spent there whole lives learning there craft so freely helped me thru the problems I had, and yes I had them. Well I looked up all that advice that I keep in a folder on my lap top desk top, and reviewed what I was told B4 and now with a little practical experience and not making the same mistakes I made the last time I can see an improvement. A lot of times we don't appreciate what we have until it's gone. So that's why I'm saying it now, we are so lucky to have so many generous, talented people on this site that are ALWAYS willing to help. By the way yesterday I bought $70 worth of sandpaper and almost pulled the trigger on more paint only to realize I wont need them, thanks to my folder on my desktop, thanks to a few generous painters right here on FTE, the best darn site on the net. Ill let you all go for now, thanks for listening and ROCK ON my friends. Thank you!

Thanks for posting this, Jim. I agree with all the above. This forum is an amazing tool, and I don't know how I could have accessed so much information so quickly without it. But, what is even more amazing is the generosity of all the folks here who are willing to share what they have learned with others. I also owe a debt of gratitude to all those who have helped me through my own rebuild.

Jim, what an excellent idea. I thank you sincerely for recognizing them. I also want to thank everyone that has helped me through the process this year while working on my grandsons 52.

Jim I have saved time and money learning from our brotherhood on here. Like many of us i am just a hobbyist. I dont do any of this for a living. I have no big shop or equipment to compete with the professional builders. When any of us ask the question we are lost, stuck and unsure of the future of our builds. After we get all the feedback we feel on track and empowered again. I think very few of our trucks would be finished if not for the team spirit here. I thank you my brother 48-56 ford men.

Amen to that! First time I posted with a question I was amazed how many responded to help and went out of their way to guide me through what needed to be done. I look at this site everyday now trying to do the same for others, even though my knowledge is much more limited.

I have only been on here a few short weeks and the help has been great , although I am sad to say it has lengthened my project time by another 30% or more as there are just AWAY TOO MANY great ideas that I simply now have to do . But yes the help is invaluable and many thanks to those who are willing to share their knowledge
