Looking for a C-6 tranny

I'm scouting for a new C6 tranny in street/strip or tow and go with a 2400 converter.

Any recommendations on manufacturer? Experiences? I've also heard you can get a deeper 1st gear but not sure or the differences.

Not much help with sourcing a c6 but you can use the gearset out of a E4OD to get a wider gear ratio spread. This gets you a lower 1st and 2nd gear.

A 2400 rpm stall speed converter might be ok for a street truck, but would probably be less than ideal for towing, depending on your camshaft.
