A couple suspension related questions...
Hey guys...I'm thinking my 1990 F-250 could use some new shocks. Since it's used, I have no idea how old these ones are. Each one is completely rusty, all over.
Should I replace them? How tall must the truck be lifted by the jack before you can swap out the shocks? Is it a backyard job? Which shocks should I go with?
Thanks!

What have you had good experience with?

Shocks are the easiest thing to do to a vehicle to change handling characteristics. They don't support the vehicle, that's the leaf springs job. The shocks just provide dampening when you hit bumps!
