Dennis, you and your truck is amazing. You compete with and beat these T-birds, Fairlanes, crown Vic's and other chopped update with your stock looking F100! And your times are in the 17's, right?
Are there any other trucks? And what modifications have you done to your Yblock?
Abe, it's a '54 car engine. It's been bored +.125 and now has a 312 crank in it. I have G heads on it (big valves) and an Edelbrock 354 tripower on it. I have an Edelbrock 573 to go on it when I have time.
Hey Kevin, Terry Allen was there this year. 1st time he's been back since 2005. He said tell Kevin I said Hi. For you guys that don't know, Kevin and Terry were in the finals in 2005.

Why would someone install a 1958-1960 Thunderbird front bumper on a 1956 Ford drag car? That bumper weighs a "ton."

It's a 59 bumper, good catch. He's a custom guy.He has a 50 ford with a pontiac grill, 55 chevy fenders, 66 t bird interior. Everything is blended perfectly. I'll see if I can find a picture. It's got a 312 y block in it.
In bracket racing you want to run a consistent dial in number. It doesn't matter what you weigh. that's why as a 17 second truck I can compete with the 12 second cars. I beat the yellow t bird in round one saturday. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...25801520,d.eWE

OK, I never paid much attention to bracket racing rules. Thanks for clearing that up, educating me. I just figured, racin', go faster. Lighter is usually faster. I did wonder why you had the spare tire mounted on your truck.
