My guess is the Black & Gray tank handles are reversed, or labeled backwards.

Well it's fixed - poor service tech got covered in black tank juice but we got it figured out. Luckly the black tank was closer to empty so it wasn't a huge mess.

Black and grey handles were reversed. He pulled apart the tank that had the valve labeled as grey but was actually the black tank. He didn't figure it out till he had the valve removed and went to open up the "blockage" in the tank and he found toilet paper. Funny thing is I kept telling him it smelled like crap but he said it was likely the valve in the black tank had leaked a little into the discharge line and that what was smelling. He's the professional so I said ok.

Either way it's corrected now. I'll have to drop the under belly when I get back home and make sure it's all clean and everything is put back together right as he wasn't real happy when he discovered it was the black tank he was working on, can't blame him for that.

Hopefully the new camper cramps are over and we can relax and enjoy it now.

Thanks again everyone for trying to help with this.

I would have figured this would be something a bit more attention to detail was used.

Guess not....

We have a 16 Montana High Country 356BH we bought last August and have had some stuff pop up. I'll list them so you can watch for them on yours..

The fresh water was pouring out the side where the pressure vent is on the side. I would get to my campsite and only have half a tank of water. I put a rubber plug in it and haven't had a problem

The dometic fridge randomly won't cool when first turned on, on gas or electric. Taking it in next month. One time the flame ran all night and it actually made it hot in the fridge. 80+

The living room couch designer threading is coming all apart.

The fresh water fill valve in the control center was leaking on the backside. I never would have known except I was replacing the water pump with a better one and noticed it was wet behind the panel. The problem is when they put the valve through the panel they didn't "snap" the lever on the front side all the way onto the valve. All three valves weren't snapped on all the way.

My left front auto jack keeps erroring out randomly. I have to lower all the jacks 6+ inches and retract to get it to reset.

The kitchen drawers keep opening while driving and scratching the fridge door. We have to put a blanket over the kitchen island.

Other than that stuff we love ours! It tows so much better than our 07 Raptor we had.

Wrong tank

Did you pull both handles before the tech came out. I had a broken value on the black tank that I replaced at Pismo beach. YUCK

No, I had no reason to try the black handle. Tank was still showing empty and I never dump black tank into portable tank.

I would have never dreamed the cables were switched....or I would have tried.

Talk about stupid stuff done on Montanas, check out the factory brake lights in this pic. Never noticed it until I was putting on the brighter ones up top. Damn idiots can't measure!
