I have a 95 f350 7.3 powerstroke crewcab longbed just bought it from a friend and could us some advice on how to see if my turbo is actually working because I dont hear it at all and if it isnt working how to diagnose the problem and fix. I just ran into this site and looks really helpful I appreciate any advice on my current situation

if the turbo was not working, the truck would have no power, and blow a lot of black smoke out of the tailpipe.
with the muffler you will not easily hear turbo whine.

Yep, since I bought my 96 20 years ago I've never heard my turbo whine, but it puts out 17 psi or more under load at WOT.
