1997 Ford E150 Differntial Torx Screw Size
Hey guys , just got some work done on my differential on a 1997 E150 and we are looking to find the right size for the fill plug. It looks to be a torx, I put a 60 and it was too big, then I tried a 55 and it seemed like it was the right size but it just would not go in, first off is it even a torx? If it is what size is it? Also could it just be warped? If its warped how do I go about removing it? Any help is appreciated.

Just checked it. you were right, I read elsewhere that it was a torx, turns out that was wrong. i'll be asking on this forum from here on out instead, thanks.

I don't know if they are torx or hex socket (allen) head, but if it is torx there might be crud or rust that's not allowing it to fit. Maybe try scraping the flutes with a stiff piece of wire. You can also trying giving the tool it a little tap to see if it'll go, just don't go crazy cause it could be painful removing the plug from the tool.
