Looking at the 3.73 - 4.30 swap
I am contemplating doing this swap and found online the complete kit needed from Nitro Gears for around $1200. Is this about right? Is there any other kits/manufactures I should look at?
I have a local shop that is very good and very well known that said they will do the labor at $95 an hour and expect 7 hours on the project so that is essentially the whole swap for about $1850. (I dont have the tools or knowledge to do it myself)
Dealer I bought the truck from estimated $2800!!!

Talk to the shop first but ask if they require you to have a full kit. If you are low mileage you don't need the bearings. I paid a little around $750 for my gears from the dealer. About the only thing you will need to get separately is pinion shims and a carrier super shims for the rear axle.

Some info on your truck would be most helpful...

If he's set on nitro 4.30s it's a 2011&up. If you can find a good rate on getting them installed $1500 isn't far fetched. I did my own install, front locker and gears for under $1200. I have a few on the newer trucks done both gas and diesel. Also have the knuckle seals replaced don't try to reuse. Get them on Amazon, cheapest place to go for them.

2016 f250 XLT CC SB 4x4... Has a 5 star perf/tow tune...I pull a 8000 pound TT and am wanting to move from the stock 275/70 18 tires to 295/70 tires (34")
I only have 3700 miles on the truck so it's not being traded in for a 2017.

If I had to do it again I would have went with 4:56 instead of 4:30 but I have a 5.4 and not a 6.2. With that being said if you are going up in tire size I still would say go with 4:56..

Good point on going deeper than 4.30 with the taller tires. I'm not too familiar with the 6.2 or your better trans but on my '05 EX (2V V-10 and 4R100 trans) I went from stock 3.73s to 4.88s to get back to an effective 4.30-ish ratio with my 35" tires. Our EX serves as our dedicated tow rig for our 11,000lb TT and the gear swap has been the single biggest performance increase I've done!
