What values should I be looking for with IAT?

I know this thing has the potential for $$$. I have no idea who the shop was and the dealer didn't disclose or know. No way of telling at this point.

These are the engine pictures you asked for.

IAT changes between the two with the EGR valve Open

You would Command EGR Valve and watch IAT2 rise fall accordingly to the valve position
with IAT1 as a Baseline

Get the PCM straight first rule in or out

I noticed that too. The cable needs to be put back above the the degauss bottle. I picked up a back of
these these
on Amazon a while back. 100 for around $5. I am impressed with the quality. I figured they would be cheap plastic but they are not.

So does dealer software mean stealer is the only one that can program or could Imler do it? If it came down to it, how would changing the pcm hit me$?

So the wiring is supposed to go over the degas then...Oy vey.

The front is 10 pack. Rides like it's on cinder blocks. I plan on pulling the 4" drop brackets and probably 4 leaves out of the front. Rear is a steel fabricated lift block incorporated with the traction bar so that would be cut down and rewelded. When I got it there was about 8" of dead play in the steering wheel. New box from RedHead, ported, ram from PCS, tie rod clamp from Trail Gear, hoses and fittings local, and now full hydro assist which is a huge improvement. Rear bushwackers, sitting in the garage, are the next big addition when I get the time. Then, monster bumpers front and rear, winches, lighting, side steps. Right now I just need to get the darn thing smogged so I can get plates. My second temporary reg runs out end of July.

No it goes under the degass bottle just like the pic

It goes under then there is a hole in the degass braket on the right side the harness clips in it's push up from bottom

See if you can find an 05+ PCM and try it is by driver battery

Or see if that shop has one

Get the PCM straight and then programming it

These guys may know what you have if you find a tag on PCM post it here

I'll have to wait until tonight to look for the pcm info. I had previously tried identifying the engine and got the following.

Passenger valve cover, blue tag: 2005. 1838078C94. 17239-304. International 1838078C94-0035239.

Passenger valve cover sticker with QR code: B38. M3-011 0205 H. M343DR210205. 1847089C1.

Driver back of block: sticker 0193813F6042R(D?). Stamped in block (_?_?)21659.

FCIM: have to get a better look but think it showed build date of 04'?

Hmmm, sounds like they might have swapped the FICM when they did the engine... that would be nice You could run that info by Ed and he could tell you more if it sounds like the FICM for the motor you have...

Since the PCM flash was mandated by CARB, I'm wondering if you'd even have to pay to have the EGR update done to it? Might call one of the Ford dealers near you and ask...

Easiest way to check for EGR flow is watch IA2 and the EGR% after a cold start. EGR valve opens around 160F ECT. Once EGR opens the IA2 will go up quite a bit.

Looks like you don't have the throttle body on the intake, so you might have the 05 upper components.

I think you just need to reattach the wire loom plastic to the cowl. It was originally held on with plastic pins that like to break. I just threw bolts in mine. Definitely get it up off the engine.

See if you can get the model number off the PCM. Driver-side fender, mounted vertically, has a BIG wire loom going to it.
