I managed to score some low miles rebuilt injectors from a scraped Powerstroke for $6 per. I will be sticking them in over the weekend.

That was a steal, good job. Now you have an excuse to send the cores and convert them into something more fun.

I know right?! I almost peed myself. I had to ask 3 times to make sure I was hearing them right. I'm heading back out to grab the turbo from it for $50 as well. Lol!

I stumbled across the truck sitting behind an E350 with a 460 at a local junkyard. Needed a bracket from it for my 96 F250. They always sell stuff cheap, but they don't normally deal in diesels. And whoever sold an OBS to the yard....shame on them. Sort of. Lol! I'll also managed to snag the engine cover for it for $5. I'm heading back Saturday to get the turbo. Plan on using it on the 460 later. Anything specific you need? The rest of the motor is still there?

Just so you know, I swapped all of those rebuilt low mileage injectors with new o-rings and wam! No more tapping, some smoke as I burn out the oil that made it down into the cylinder. Lol. Turns out that my #3 & #5 injectors were both toasted. I no longer have the smoke coming from the top of the engine. Its nice not to have it tapping too.

On a side note Duralast Gold batteries friggin blow. I purchased them both 5/26 and by the end of July they both had dead cells. They have real bad reviews too. I plan on investing in a couple interstate batteries in a few weeks. They warrantied my Duralast ones, but I doubt they will last either.

The Duralast Gold batteries in the fleet normally last 5 years on the gassers on the diesels 2-3 years is the norm.

I have one in my gasser and its been there for 3 years. I figured it would be good in the diesel. But no. Lol. So far the warrantied ones are holding up.
