Just a quickie...y'all are gonna think I'm pretty stupid. Well, I actually feel kinda stupid. After 5 years of driving my truck, I just found out it has Telescoping steering wheel in addition to the tilt. Sheesh!

Telescoping steering wheel....

Does that mean things viewed in the windshield are now closer than they appear?

Don't feel bad.
I have had my F-250 for a year now and just discovered that it had electronic locking differentials!
I couldn't figure why my rear wheels were slipping so bad and then engaging hard.
Lesson learned!

my wife is from San Diego, and after 5 years of driving her Rav 4 (2 years in Oregon) she figured out it had intermittent wipers (as she didnt know what the rotating plastic piece was on the turn signal)....

This from a lady with a PHD...

I don't think it's year specific, but option specific. Typically, tilt and telescoping steering are two separate options. But apparently not so for Ford. Or maybe for the F-250. I'm not sure, but it seems if you get tilt, you get telescoping also.
