Testing sync before buying?

Hey everyone! I'm going to test drive a 2011 XLT tomorrow that has navigation and sync. Is there something simple I can do with sync to make sure its working before I buy the vehicle?

Thanks in advance!

Sync your phone to it and try to make a call or play music from your phone (Source > Aux > Bluetooth). There's really no reason for it not to work though.

Thanks!

I'll do some googling around tonight to see how to sync it to our phone, etc.

Thanks again!

We ended up buying it. 2011 XLT with a ton of options. Was able to sync our phone to it without problem. Gonna need to spend some time messing with the nav and sync to get used to it.

Congrats on the new ride. Sync works pretty well with the occasional hiccup (need to unplug-plug USB stick or disable/re-enable BT on phone). It's 1,000x better than the nightmare system in my wife's Mazda, which we stopped using a month after we bought the car. Hers is like iPhone's Siri in 2011. :x

Now, get yourself a Lockpick, and the navigation will really shine. Best investment in my '12 KR I've made

Yeah, I need to look into that. Although, I was very surprised at how many things my wife was able to do with the nav while I was driving. I thought it would be totally locked out.
