Launch/Retrieve 2 SeaDoos with Flex Limited FWD

I recently purchased 2 SeaDoos. Each of them weighs 790lbs. The trailer weighs 800 lbs. Plus 125lbs of gasoline on the trailer and some life vests, etc.
I'm guessing 2600 lbs total.

We have a 2013 Ford Flex Limited FWD which has the towing package. The brochure http://www.ford.com/resources/ford/gene ... x_oct1.pdf says 4500 lbs maximum. So we're 1900 lbs less.

I know the Flex can tow the SeaDoo's but what I'm worried about is retrieving them from the lake/river, etc. Will I have issues pulling them out of the water with the FWD? I see lots of people on different forums talking about 90's minivan's which pull 3000lb boats out of the water with no issues.

Does anyone have any experience with a boat or SeaDoo's and going up the launch ramps? I know not all launch ramps are equal and some may not be as steep or different type of concrete, etc. But for the most part.

We also have a 2003 Expedition 5.4l RWD which we will use sometimes as well and I know that will have no issues since I've launched boats with it.

Thanks

Depending on the length of the shaft on the trailer, and the angles, you might end up dipping the rear of the Flex into the water. That's not great on any vehicle, but the flex is low, and well, nice . . .

2wd is fine until it isn't. Lots of folks have zero issues. Traction can be a problem.

Really depends on the traction of the ramp surface.
I tow my kawasaki ultra with my mustang regularly.
Rear tires right in the water and not an issue unless the ramp is soft gravel or slimy concrete for bad traction.
I just put it into first gear and ease the clutch out, when i hear the engine start to load a bit let go of the brakes and finish feathering the clutch out....spins a bit occasionally but never actually got stuck.
Nice thing is if its a busy ramp its probably really easy to ask the people there for a push and they will gladly help you.
A 2 wheel drive chevy recently had a traction issue at a boat launch and before they guy could even ask for help about 7 of us walked over there to push.....hard finding a spot to push there were so many guys. A small car towing a small trailer if 2 to 4 guys push they can make a huge difference if needed.
If in deep so the pump has lots of water start or 1 or both PWCs and give em hell...they have a lot of thrust.
I can be 2 up on mine and yank up my 300 pound friend on a water ski like nothing still.
So that is an option to.
Just get 1 or 2 people to hop on the PWCs and give it.....the second they get out of the water drop to an idle and shut them off.
