Help with tire purchase

Hi there was wondering what FTE members have been buying in the past couple years for tires for F-250??? Mine is a 2002 F-250 with the x code spring package and a 6 door utility bed!!! When I bought the truck with only 78,000 miles on the odometer it had the Firestone Transforce AT on it in 265/75/16 load E!!! A friend sold me a set of Bridgestone H/L for 150.00 that were about 60% tread life left, I've put about 25,000 miles on them since last July and I'm ready to move to a new set. I'd like to go to a 285/75/16 on stock 16x7 lariat wheels in load E range!!! So if you could please help with your tire choices an how many miles are on them and how they have been for you??? I live in Indiana and need a tire that has snow capabilities and good highway manner, I'm not a off road adventurer but I need to know I'm not going to be stuck in wet grass or a wet wet dirt road if y'all understand. Thanks for helping and I know this thread has been talked about a lot but nothing real recent!!!

I'm using BFG T/A KO2s in the stock 265/70R17E size. Great in snow, rain and dry pavement. Decent on ice. Quiet on the highway.

I ran BFG T/A's for about 10 years on different trucks. Switched to Toyo A/T's and they are good too. Alot louder on the road than the BFG's though. Happy with both.

Bfg commercial t/a traction. The set on my '03 has been on it for so many years I have no idea of the actual mileage. A long lasting tire imo.

I have run a few sets of Cooper AT3. They would be a great e-rated tire for your needs. It is available in the 285/75/16 too. Im going to the cooper maxx next like all the local loggers run. I recommend them too.

Yes. I went up a size from stock, but same results. Wanted to fill the wheel well a little more than the stock size. Been on a 2400 mile round trip with them. I'm liking them a lot.

Lots of different options. I went with Toyo Open Country AT/II tires partly because they were available in my desired size of 295-70/18, and I've loved them.

Cooper

I run Cooper ST/MAXX because of all the reasons you stated. Great looking, performing and after a cross country towing trip they are holding up very well.

Alright lots of different choices coming in from all of you keep them coming!!! I drive about 1000 miles weekly give or take a hundred so I really want to exceed 40,000 for this set. Obviously I'll be rotating every other oil change for this new set because I've noticed that my drivers side rear wore on the inside of the tire more than passenger rear probably due to 39 gal tank and most of my heavier tools on that side of bed, I'll be addressing that issue as well to try and even out the weight through my utility bed boxes. So I definitely want more tire suggestions fromantic people who keep or haul a lot of weight in bed of truck!!! And thanks to all for commenting so far on their tire suggestions!!! Also have looked into 295-75-16 tires as well now so think that size will fit on stock 16x7 wheels without running the center of tread out super fast???

I've had bfg all terrains and bfg km2 and HATE BOTH TYPES AND WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER BFG TIRE AGAIN. Just got a brand new set of Bridgestone revo2 in 285 75r16 e-load on stock 16x7 aluminum wheels and absolutely love these tires! All four balanced with under three ounces of weight, all my highway shake is completely gone and so far in the rain and m offroad they are performing flawlessly

I have Hankook Dynapro ATM in 285/75R16E on my truck now with the stock wheels. Replaced Coopers that the sidewalls kept cracking on.(2 sets that cracked) The Hankooks work well in all conditions I have ran them in including snow and deep water. They are not priced bad either. My dad had a set on his last truck for several years so I knew they were decent. They are a very popular tire in my area.

I have cooper at3 on my truck, the wear is even. Doubt I'll get much more than 20k out of the tread, most likely won't buy again too expensive too only get 20k out of them .gonna buy cheap tires next time and get 20k out of them , stock tires I got 25k out of but not a 55k warranty tire.

It would be nice if they came in more sizes. They seem to be a good tire.

Their sizes are limited for certain. 265/75/16 is the tires I've used. I have had three sets. Currently have a set on my '03 and my '95. If you want a tire that is going to last some serious miles imo this is it. If you want a big tire, this isn't it.
