48-52 door patch panels

Dies anyone make lower patch panels for 48-52 doors like they do for 53-55 doors?

We build our own. I recently had some metal bent for me in the z style to make new bottoms. Cut in at the fold and curve around and weld back.

Well, they aren't mine as I have a 54 and a 55. But there is a 52 F2 I have been picking parts from the last year or two at a closed junkyard when the deceased owners daughter is there. I could not get the pins out of the hinges nor the screws out of the hinges. So Saturday I rented a cordless sawzall to cut out the center piece and the 3 teeth of the manure spreader grille. I then cut the hinges off the drivers door. The whole bottom of the door is rusted out. There are no dents or dings inside or out, but the bottom is nonexistent.

I'll take better pics tomorrow (Monday).

This is one of my doors.I have an extra but I will repair this later if I get to it.

Even this is repairable.

Hey Abe,
There is another member on here who goes by "Reamer".
He's a firefighter over in Connecticut - he made all of the patch panels
for our truck. He does cab corners, etc. but he also made door sills & a few other things for us.

You may want to ask him what he can do?

If you do a search on here you'll find his contact info.

I texted him to ask if he was making them. Just waiting to hear back. When I talked to him last in 2015 he said he wasn't making them yet.

Thanks for checking but no need to as I am not keeping this door nor do I plan on fixing it up. I am trying to get an asking price for this. I plan to sell it at Carlisle this weekend. If they make patch panels I think I could ask a bit more.

I am going out to take pics of it now.

I would ask $100 and sell for $75 just to sell it for the guts, if someone wants to fix it then so be it. I have found doors in very good condition at swap meets for $200 and under each.

I have four sets of doors in rough but better condition than those. I'm thinking $25-50 range for the ones I have. I've seen some pretty decent doors at swap meets going in the $75-100 range and I'm in the upper midwest rust belt.
