'95 runs rough, loses power in mid-range.

Hey Guys, I'm stuck and could use some advice. I've been lurking for a while, reading up on all the threads but quite frankly not sure what to do next.
I just bought a truck that seems to have a rough spot around 1700-2300 rpm's, the truck is a 1995 F250, 7.3L 5 spd, 4x4 about 170,000 miles.
It starts up just fine, has a smooth idle, accelerates with plenty of pull, no check engine lights, however at about 1700 rpm's it starts to shake and seems to lose a bit of power, it's worse with a load or pulling uphill, it's the same in any gear and is not speed but rpm dependent.
I replaced the CPS (from an international dealer) because it seems to be a common issue, no change (pretty sure it was original) it has a new fuel filter and the housing is full of fuel, I also drained some fuel using the yellow drain valve, the vast amount of threads here indicated a bad UVCH may be a culprit, the connectors were well connected on the outside, I pulled the valve covers and the internal ones were also well connected. Somebody had replaced the passenger side gasket at some point as it was different than the drivers side (updated internal connectors).
After I replaced the VC I read I should check the Ohms at the connectors, kind of backwards I know, so I checked the connectors and got 6-7 ohms consistently on all four, ?, I had disconnected the battery grounds, separated the connector from the wire harness and probed the center prong with the prongs on either side (I have 2, 5 prong connectors not one nine prong) all the injector connectors were intact, I removed each one and put it back on just to check fitment (while the VC were off). I saw no chaffed or burned wires/connectors/pins. It seems odd that ohms were double on both sides and all connectors.
Thoughts?

Any chance thw APS (accelerator position sensor) might have a bad spot? Just a thought

fuel filter change

you did upgrade that vc to the solid one right? I have seen them with crimped wires before or the vc tightened to a wire and brake it but couldn't tell with vc off, internal brakes and/or iol getting inside the wire is also common.

And i have seen a simple MAP do the same thing

Thanks, I just looked into that, I have very good throttle response, my symptoms almost seem like the truck is missing on a cylinder, and it's consistent.
Any possibility it could be the IDM?

Its easier to check each injector just by pulling off vc, and pulling the connection to it.

cups and bad injectors are way more common then a IDM

If i didn't see the map on the computer i wouldn't have thought it, but did the same thing, no boost and not over 1700.

Also very oil dependent so make sure oil is clean.

The passenger side VCG looks different than the drivers side, the drivers side has similar connectors internally as externally, (a clip that holds the connector in place) I believe the passenger side is a newer style, no clip and it's a little wider than the external connector. I didn't know they'd be different until I removed the other side, I'd already put the other one back together.
I just looked at the MAP, the tube underneath was disconnected, I reattached it and went for a spin, it seemed to pull a little better on a big hill (about two miles long and hwy speeds) I was actually able to increase my speed rather than barely maintain it, on my next pass I disconnected the MAP wiring with no changes noticed. We may be onto something.

I wish I'd have done more homework before closing up the VC, but I was thinking it was a harness issue and kind of put the cart before the horse, at this point I'm not ruling out another look.
Oil is fresh.
