Neighbor has a Dodge, 2 Hyundais, and a 1968 Norton he wants work on. Ive worked on his stuff before, he never takes it anywhere except for initial estimates, then I check and say yah or nah. We have a good system, because the sorry sum bitch mechanics do all the hard work for me of looking around for issues.

The guy called me today about the Audi, Jag, Land Rover jobs, Says I am still a little far out to call him back first week of July. Mowed grass, weedeated, vacuumed the wifes ride. Trying to get the weekend chores done so we can hopefully spend some time on the water this weekend. Starter is still on track to arrive tomorrow.

I am precruise mode. Going to do the grass Saturday before we leave Sunday for the cruise. Maybe a hurricane will not develop and affect us

Dodge diesel is not high end, lots of work, but hard work. I went to a benz dealership in high school, clean as can be, high standards, techs really didnt look strained at all

We have owned 2 BMW's and the dealership workshop was the same way, nice and clean but they were always pretty busy. The service light seemed like it was always coming on for something, cabin filter change, brake fluid change, wiper blades, etc. Super great ride but I will never own another BMW.

The new starter for the boat has arrived. I am going to knock it out right after dinner. There are a ton of boats and PWC's going down the road heading towards the lake. I got the registration numbers put on the hull. We are going to take her out and try it again tomorrow.

Have you got away to run it at the house? If not I would do a dock or just off shore run before heading across the lake

We did a test run last Sunday, after the starter got hot I had to tap it to get it to work. I took it off and just went ahead and ordered a new one off Amazon. The engine oil pressure was low too so we went ahead and came home. Changed the engine oil and filter the other day and I have great oil pressure now.

I have a hose adapter to ground run it. I got the new starter in, new battery and cleaned all the ends and it starts right up every time you hit the key now. I went ahead and changed the outdrive oil since I was out there, good thing because there wasn't 2 qts of oil in there. I know better and should have checked everything over and changed all the fluids and filters but I got excited about having a boat again, lesson learned. I got the top cleaned and reinstalled so we don't get fried.

Guess we are going to try and go out tomorrow for a while. I hope it lasts more than the 20 minutes we were out the last time....

I'm going on a cruise too, just happens to be on Lake Weiss.
