Carb spacer

So I right now I have an Edelbrock 600cfm carb and a Edelbrock performer intake on my 351w and the intake came with a 4 inch 4 hole spacer. My question is since ive heard both sides from different people, should I use the spacer or not?

I run a 2" spacer on mine, ..... supposedly gives better throttle response as the spacer appears to increase the length of the runners,.... i. e. more volume.

Since there pretty easy to install, stick it in and run it awhile. If you don't like it remove it.

Like Lee my truck performs better with 2-1in spacers. I had to add a second for the pcv.

4-inch? The PO was apparently going for a tunnel ram effect. Generally not good for a street engine.

Concur with j0wilker... two-inch max. It's a 351W so a two-inch would be a hair better to assist in the TQ range.

Would a 2in spacer be an improvement over the stock 1/2 inch version on a 2V carb?
