Is there a way to tell what's under the hood from the outside? Even if it's a subtle difference between the 03/04?

6.0 or a 7.3

From what I have noticed, the 7.3 has a black based powerstroke badge on the door and the 6.0 has a chrome plated powerstroke badge.
