6.2 days are done
At least for a few months if I can get the oil changed tomorrow my trusty F350 6.2 will be in the barn until August when we head north for a short trip. In its place my new (last September) to me 03 F150 XLT will be taking its place, I like the truck but it's no F350 Lariat but it will keep miles off the pulling truck.

Tell me about it , I work mine hard too. Between using it in construction and towing a fifth wheel across the continent and back again once a year, and everywhere in between. But that puppy never complains and keeps coming back for more.

I went the other route. Sold my 2000 250 and the car and got the 2016 350. The 2000 only had 130,000 but it seemed it hurt the truck more letting it set and not driving it, especially as it got older. Decided to go to one vehicle and drive it and pay for the gas. Even at 20000 miles a year it'll take 10 years to get to 200000 miles, will be paid off for some time and should still have plenty of life left.

I've been in communication with a stealer this week about a 2016 CCLB 6.2 dually. No, I do NOT need one but just want one. Are they really a pain as a daily driver? I'm already fully used to my CCLB. I love my truck that I have and don't need or want 4x4 and the dually is 3.73 how did that happen?

After you get used to the extra tires back there it's no real big deal, we always park way out back in parking lots and take up more than one spot just so someone doesn't take out one of the fenders. I'm guessing someone screwed up ordering one with 3.73 gears.
We will be heading out with the trailer the first part of August so I'm going to have to remember it's fat back there, sure did get used to beating around in my F150 car truck but I still love my SD.

I would love to test drive one it seems like the rear tires would be chirping trying to go around corners because they are so wide, like having the rear locked.
This deal doesn't make much sense for me financially but I see the sixteens as the last of the last. I'm not a fan of the next generation nor could afford em.

You get used to the dually setup.
When I bought my 2004 F350 cc Dually, it took me a few miles before I got used to the rear tires sticking out.
Just never plan on going to ATMs or parking garages
For some reason that 2004 came from the factory with dinky standard mirrors and I could not see around the rear fenders easily. I will never understand why Ford put those stupid tiny mirrors on a dually.
I bought the extendable mirrors and things were much better
