Looking At A Harley Edition

Hey guys. Iv got my eye on a 2002 F-150 Harley edition at a dealership. It looks SHARP as all get out but I don't need to tell you guys that lol. Its a crew cab version, has the supercharged 5.4 (I think they all did that generation), and the kicker: 175,000 miles. In all honesty the miles are the least of my worries. I know these mod motors will last forever as long as theyre take care of. Judging by how good the leather seats look, its been taken care of. The price seems fair at $8200.

Whats your guys' opinions on these trucks? I know fuel mileage is nothing to brag about but its the smiles per mile right? Iv seen some people freak out when they see a Lightning (or similar) with over 100k and act like theyre wore out.

Is there anything else I need to know before taking the plunge?

I have a 2003 f-150 harley, silver & black that I got last year and I really really really like it. Mine has 83,000 on it, but I had to pay $16700 for it. And I'm trying to make it new again. The price sounds good to me on that 2002 truck you are looking at. I have a 2002 Blackwood and gas mileage on my Harley is better. My Blackwood has 37,000 on it. Buy It before it's gone. There is a 2003 f-150 Harley on ebay with 673 miles on it. Buy it now for $32,000.

Boy this section of FTE doesn't see much traffic lol. I pulled the trigger and brought it home. Couldn't beat the price. They had it $3000 below book value! Not to mention the thing was in spectacular condition, especially with 175k on it. The leather isn't even tore! That's uncommon for something with anything over 100k lol. It was sad to see my 2014 F-150 go but this is just as fun to drive and not to mention is a heck of a lot cheaper!

How I got my 2003 Harley truck was I was looking for a 2003 Heritage 100th anniversary truck and I saw the Harley for sale. After I got the Harley truck my wife said your not going to drive the truck in the winter are you? I said your right. Then I found a 2003 Heritage with 143,000 miles on it. It's rust free but it needs a lot work. So I'm fixing both of them up. I going to sell my Blackwood. The 2003 Heritage is Black & Burgandy. A guy told me today to put a chip in it and I will get better mileage, and horsepower. Good luck with your truck.

You've got a Blackwood? Those are some neat trucks too, not to mention incredibly rare. Any reason for trading it?

I'm selling the Blackwood because I got the 2003 Harley truck. The Blackwood is nicer than the Harley truck. It has 37,000 miles on it and is in the garage from Nov to April every year. Basically it's a new truck. Ford told me they made 3381 Blackwoods. The truck is mint. I wish my Harley was that nice. I'm going to make it that way. I can't change the miles on it, but can make it like new again. I want to put a power seat on the passenger side. Somebody told me an Expedition or Lincoln Navigator will work. Do you know what would work?

Im new to the 99-03 body style lol. Im still learning myself! I cant see why it wouldn't work. The Navigator, Expedition, Mountaineer, and F-150 are all on the same platform

I got a warning, the for sale items are supposed to be in the classifieds. I never thought about it. I'm new to the 99-03 body to. I drove AMC Eagles for years and years. I never could afford anything else. They sure were good in the winter, and good mileage. I should of kept one. I been looking for oem wheels for my truck. There is alot of china wheels, but somebody told me in about a year they start to peel. My wheels have alot of rock chips. I know I don't have to ask how you like your Harley.

Yes it is.

NLOC and SVT Performance for years had been the go-to place for all things L related, but Rodder got going strong and heavy years ago, right as I transitioned to the diesels and away from my Lightning.

Dealership specializing in Harley/Lightings and KR's

There is a dealership near me that has switched over to trucks and they specialize in Harley's, Lightnings, King Ranches etc. I went by the other day and they had two heritage F150 Harley's, but 100th Anniversary editions and and F250 Harley. They also have a very cool Excursion Turbo Diesel, lifted etc. Here is there web site in case you want to check them out. They are always getting new inventory.

Orlando !!!
I graduated High School in Eustis and I love central Florida. I am planning a big vacation to Disney World in the fall. I might have to do a drive thru of the dealership while I am there.
