Help finding engine small parts

Where can I get the heater hose fittings that go to the water pump and intake? I can't find them anywhere. I've tried salvage yards and they are just as rotted out as mine are.

Not sure, but have you tried Rock Auto? They seem to carry almost everything...

Yeah I tried them. I looked everywhere on their site and nothing. The hard part is that there is no definitive name for them. Everyone calls them something different.

You talking about the nipple part the hose goes over and is clamped too? Maybe a picture of what your looking for would help....

Yes it's the nipped that comes off the water pump and the one that comes off the front of the intake manifold. I'll try and get pics tomorrow.

Have you tried to contact the makers/ suppliers of the water pump? if you can't get it there you may end up getting a new water pump...

I believe those are just generic pipe thread nipples. Any parts store should carry them. I can't remember if it was on my old 390 or current 460, but one of the hose fittings on the pump was actually a tube that bent toward the passenger side. Even this can be replaced with a generic pipe nipple. You'll just need more heater hose to reach the shorter nipple.

No sir, I didn't take it that way. I have never bought a Ford water pump before. All the Chevy ones I have bought have always been ready to go out the box. That's why I suggested it. mrollings53 suggested that the threads are regular pipe threads and most auto parts stores should have them...once again I'm not sure. Just trying to help...

Ok, I went out and uncovered my replacement motor for my truck...I googled up water pump threaded flanges for Ford water pump, and didn't find any for Ford, but came up with some for an older mopar that look real close located at Classic Industries Parts and Accessories. You might look there...

You're awesome numberdummy. Are those descriptions universal or ford specific? I guess I'm just trying to figure out what to tell the parts guys.
